89x2 hooked me up with Ray Zisa from the Corvette Center, who did the paint on my Speedster. Ray was good enough to send me not only the paint info for the car (btw, it's a 3 stage paint - with a black base coat, 2-3 light tint coats, followed by clear - sure hope I never have to do any major repaint work), but Ray also included some photos of the car during construction and it's Bloomington debut. These are scans of the original photos, so the quality isn't so great, but it's really cool to have the photos in the file on the car.

BTW, nice original color - if all those Turquoise Metallic B2K's weren't converted to Speedsters, Luigi's Callaway wouldn't be so rare :cool

On CMT's "Trick my Truck," they painted an old 1964 Mack truck tonite with a similar paint job - Black sealer base, deep lilac topcoat.

While your Speedster did not feature the saw airbrush design, I think we can all agree that is a good thing

It was cool to follow the paint process

You are so lucky to have gotten those pictures and wish I had similar for my car.

I have on very rare occassions seen similar build pictures before.

It would have been really cool if Callaway had taken pictures at points along the build process of these cars and presented them to the owner along with the car at delivery, adding to the documentation of the build process.

If the owner was near them I supposed they could have done that themselves. Then again, I am the 2nd owner of my car so it is possible that this was done and that the pictures were retained by the original owner. Then again, I know they were stretched thin with all the demand during the B2K era that I am sure the last thing they had time for were pictures.
