A guy is selling these dirt cheap cause he needs money. My question is will they fit a vette and how do I know without driving out and trying them on? The measurement listed are universal 5x100 or 5x114.3. and they're 16's.

What type of questions do I need to ask him?
Thanks everyone

What are they on? Is the bolt circle metric or SAE? What is the offset or backspacing? What's the width?

Your stock wheels (rims are the area of the wheel that contacts the tire bead, FYI) are 16x8.5 with a 5x4.75" bolt circle, 36 MM offset. Backspacing is about 5-1/2 inches. Go from there....

Those are the questions I need to ask the guy. Thanks for the info Robert. I'll contact him and see if he knows.

Also what is everyone's take on universal rims as far as performance?

I would photoshop those wheels with bigger tires on them. the sidewall on corvettes with 16 inch wheels is so much bigger than the one shown on that wheel it will look totally different (i.e. really bad)

I couldn't see the tire until you pinted it out. Now I see that tire on there is very low profile. You're right, my tires might not look great on the rims.
But There are a couple other sets of wheels I am looking at that are universal. Anyone have info on universal rims ie: performance?

most of the ones I have seen are for FWD cars only... not sure what the difference is, but check the specs regardless.

Is that a "16.7JJ" raised on the wheel lip? A 7" wide wheel is pretty dang skimpy for a 'vette.

I don't think they are actually universal, they look to have a possible two mounting sizes. If your car doesn't use one of those two, they probably won't fit.
