Unrewarding repair... what is yours?

Had trany leak, had it pulled and resealed; now still have leak on the drip pan as before and now my 81 makes more noise than it's old man driver getting up from the recliner when it moves. Had shop that did the work check for loose mountings and anything else they took off to get trany out. The word is every thing is "A Okay", still have the noise. So much for leaving well enough alone.

Had a problem with my drain pan leaking after transmission was rebuilt, the pan was warped. Transmission shop had a used one they just gave me(they didn't cause the problem). Nice guys.

Valve cover gaskets. Thought while i had them off I would strip and repaint them. Look worse now than when I started.

I am guessing you mean Valve Covers. I have never liked the look of painted Valve cover gaskets.
