Fenders

67HEAVEN,

A couple questions on your new fenders. Were they made from molds pulled from Mike Donahue's car?

Are they one off or can they be bought by others?

Tom

Tom Bryant,

Gary Steffen of Corvette City / Corvette Masters in Englewood, Colorado made them for me.

You can reach him at 303 762 8388 (days) 303-762-0134 (fax)

NICE!!!! Car and Web site...excellent workmanship...Labor of Love...I see you conveniently left off an accounts payable page. ;)

There are two reasons why I left off the accounts payable page, Jon:

1. I've already scared myself enough. :eek

2. My wife uses the Internet too. :bash

Here's a hint though. With what I've spent building the project garage and the car I could have bought a new C5. :duh What's a C5, dear? Oh it's sort of like a special tool. :SLAP ;help

Both my paint man and body man are coming by the garage on Saturday for some final measurements.

Then, it's back into the trailer (still on the wooden dolly) for another trip to the shop where we'll cut off the old fenders and lower front valance. Then the bonding on of the new fenders, front valance and front signal light fiberglass pieces will begin. This will be much easier to do on the dolly than if the body were back on the chassis.

Once these pieces are in place, we'll drop it back on the chassis for final fit of the doors, hood and headlight buckets.......then final prep for painting. We've decided that we'll lift the body again for painting, but colour is definitely on its way!!!!!

It's about to get a whole lot more interesting.

67,
I've had the pleasure of watching Mike Donahue race in the Vintage Races at Watkins Glen the last two years. He knows how to get around that track. First in group in 2001, second in 2002 behind a big block Cobra.
Keep up the good work
