Hi everyone, new to forum, I have just finished restoring my Ontario orange 72 Vette and all is good except for a small problem.
all headlamps and wiper door work perfectly but when I turn off the car after about 20 seconds I hear a loss of air and the lights and wiper door sort of relax and open very slightly, the every time I restart car everthimg opens before reclosing.
Everything is new, could the new relays be faulty??????
help!!!!

Always a good idea to start out looking at the easy stuff. Sounds to me like you have a small vacuum leak somewhere. The first thing I would do is to check all the associated vacuum hoses for a leak, including right at the points where they connect to a fitting, air motor, etc. Listen carefully to determine where the leak sounds the loudest. If you don't find a leak in the engine bay, it could be coming from under the dash at or near the headlight switch.
Cheers, Terry

Sounds like you might have a couple of your vacuum hoses installed incorrectly. As mentioned earlier the check valve can be the culprit. There are several troubleshooting guides available on line. Get your self a vacuum pump and start checking the various components.
