Hi...new Vette owner. I know that Van Steel provides Ecklers with a variety of remenufacturing services. I plan on taking my car to them next week to do a complete suspension and steering system restoration. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with them.

Thanks!

Eric

I sent my trailing arms in to them for new bearings and parking parks, they did a tremendious job on them. They looked better than new! They also put on new rotors and had them zeroed out for wobble, great job and quick turn around time.

Thanks for the reply. The labor rates they quoted seemd so reasonable I was very surprised given that they are specialists.

I don't know about the quality of their work, but you can talk to member BarryK about their parts. He recently got a full assortment of stuff from them for an 1980-rebuild project.

Thanks for the replies. They will be working on the car next week. Sounds like they are top notch.

Have owned my 68 since 1971 and I am in the process of doing my second total rebuild. Met with them and they now have my frame for powder coating. Extremely impressed with them. Both Van Steel and Vette Brake Products are within a 10-15 minute drive from my house. After meeting several times with both of them, I chose Van Steel. Not very impressed with Vette Brakes service, but Van Steel has been excellent.

I spent close to 5 grand there a couple of months ago and they did a fantastic job on the rebuild. They droppped the entire suspension, steering and braking systems out tof the car. All new lines, cables and brackets too. I have only put about a 50 miles on the car since then but it is very tight.
