Vanacors Corvette

Has anyone bought products from this company? Has anyone bought the Stinger hood from this company? They claim to make all their own stuff. I am just really worried. I mean, I have seen the Ecklers Stinger hood on their website in a picture. Vanacor does not show a picture of this hood. They tell you to look at there 67 hood, and say it is very similar. Grrr... Frustrating.

I did notice though, Ecklers shows a Stinger hood for a 1968-1976 corvette, and a 1977-1981. Why are there two different hoods? Vanacor only lists one 1968-1972 and one for 1973-1981 for all those years.....

Read the fine print on the Ecklers hood. You have to make some modifications to the car and the hood to make it fit for a '68-'72. Don't have any experience with Vanacor, but I do recall reading a thread somewhere about someone not being too pleased with the fit of the rear bumper cover for their car which they had purchased from them. That might have been on CF.

All the add on parts on my car are from Vanacor. I bought from all the others but I recommend Vanacors before all others.

Vanacor is about 30 minutes from my house. I have purchased 2 hoods an 2 quarter panels from them and walked away very impressed.

I haven't bought anything from them (yet), but since they are about an hour away, I checked out their showroom. It appears to me that they do make their own parts. (Although I did not personally witness the molding processes.)

I have not seen the stinger hood installed but I have seen it at their shop. I was debating to get the stinger of the L88 hood. In the end I chose the L88. The stinger looks exactly like the Ecklers pictures, in fact the owner told me he has the same molds as Ecklers has.
