Vanity Mirrior Replacement

HELP! I must be losing my mind, cause I've certainly confused myself!!!!
I can't seem to disconnect the vanity mirror pigtail to remove in order to snap the new one in. There's a little grey slide I need to pull out, but for the life of me, the thing won't budge and I don't wanna tear it up. So..., y'all? Which one of the little slidey thingies am I pulling to undo this thing. I've been at this for about an 1.5 hrs. now and my blood's beginning to boil. I KNOW this shouldn't take this friggin long!!!!!! Any advice is greatly appreciated!!!!
