very simple water pump question??

I have a 79. the "stud" for the water pump mounting bolt that secures the alt. adjustable bracket, is this the upper or lower (on the drivers side location) I thought for sure it was lower, but that gives me no belt adjustment, upper looks correct??:confused :confused The lower is the one that goes throgh to the water pass, and requires some atv sealent, right?? Thanks

I just looked at my 80 and the stud is on the top. I put sealant on all four bolts.

thanks JR switched em, and everything lines up good, It's funny how you mess up on the little things, pulled apart everything, but brackets, and alignment are such a pain in the butt! most of all with all the after-market stuff, Thanks again
