Sadly, some people have no shame.

While on vacation, someone stole a Vietnam Veteran's 1962 Corvette out of a storage facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Not only did they steal the Corvette, but they also stole his medals that he received while in the military, as well as his father's Silver Star from World War II.

Below is the Craigslist ad posted by the father's son. If anyone has any information, please contact him through Craigslist.

Someone stole my dads 1962 corvette out of our storage facility (Keyport Self-Storage 10 W 71st Street Tulsa), while he's been on vacation. My father is a Vietnam Veteran, 101st Airborne, combat veteran and received this corvette upon his return from service. They stole his medals as well as his father's Silver Star from World War II. These items are sacred to our family. e would like this car returned. Please share and contact me if you've seen this car or have information of its whereabouts.

According to a news article on this in the SACC (Solid Axle Corvette Club) magazine the car was recovered safe and sound in an old barn. A "News on 6" viewer who had seen this story checked her barn after an acquaintance asked her if he could store something in there. The article didn't say if any arrest was made yet.

Unfortunately the family's war medals were not recovered yet at the time of the article.

Thanks for the update, glad to see that the car was recovered; hopefully once an arrest is made, the war medals may reappear.
