Need a few opinions who likes wich one and why or why not. Thanks all Mark.

Mark, advise if for a C1, C2 or C3. You have asked a timely question. I believe you will find recent concensus to be in favor of Classic Air, at least with regard to a C2.

I'll let Subfixer chime in - he just installed CA in his 64.

Mark, I'll direct you to a thread in the other forum.... It was started by someone else, but my comments are there also.

I can only comment on Classic Air as that's what I used. The reason I went with that unit is because I can vary the temp with the AC running.... In other words, I can add heat to the AC to vary the temp in the car. I don't beleive that is possible with the Vintage unit, but I could be wrong.

I have purchased a classic auto air system for my 62, the evaporator fits absolutely perfect in the car. I cant comment on its performance yet but I think they have a well engineered evaporator

Thanks all. I am looking at a 65 coupe that has no air now. I think if i do get it i will do air, I have vintage air on my 64, like the vents better. Just not all that crazy about the proformance on not so hot days, had it checked everything I was told was ok.I should of searched a little more before posting. (sorry about that) Mark.

I have a VA unit and am fine with it. I have no idea where the other folks live but in New Jersey, with a COUPE during the AC driving season, I AIN'T mixing NO hot air with the AC. The heat gain with the coupe's rear glass makes it an "on" proposition for me - it only goes "off" when I'm back in the barn. I do not miss a "mix" feature.

The only problem with the VA unit is the crummy micro switches they provide. I bypassed them with a 3-way switch.

As I remember, I also wanted to go with a company that would be in business for years to come and VA, at taht time, fit the bill. I really don't think that's a deciding factor anymore because I know realize that the important stuff is off the shelf OEM and available anywhere.
