As lot you have reading I was having some seirous Issues with a short block I have the cam and the rest of the bearings were bad the crank was bad the block was cracked also and it only had 3000 miles on it.
Blueprint engines has told me they are going to replace it I cant say enough so far they been great I would tell any one if they want a motor and a company that will back up there motors this is the one to go to.
I started to get the parts clean that are going back in to the car This part that sucks cleaning the parts once again getting them ready to put back together.
But the good thing about this redo I changing stuff that I found out I did not like about the last set up.
Like a 8 Qt oil pan, I had a 5Qt When I should went with the 7 or 8.

Always good to tell people about quality costumer service like that.
Great that your at least getting the short block replaced :cool!:

Cleaning

The fun part starts Cleaning all the bolts nuts and stuff that being reused.
It has to be done but it no fun.
Checked and cleaned the heads intake most of the big stuff.
Now it's the lttle stuff bolts and nuts.
But after the new short block and other new stuff for it shows up I going to take it a part and clean it out I not going though this again.
But with my luck the new short block will not need it after all, But I will clean it anyways.

...once bit, twice shy..

I cleaned all my tools I been using also as long as I was cleaning up.

Cleaned all the bolts nut Ect washed the engine bay wash my tools washed the garge floor.
Worked on my New tall Valve covers cut a nocth for the Windshield wipper motor I get welded up next week I post pictures after it all welds are done.
I think I found a better way to mount the EGR tube I sick and tired of that stupid crimp thats screws up just about everytime you need to move the EGR tube.

You got the crimp tube?

Toss that POS and get the bottom welded up with a flange exactly like the top end. Thats the upgrade that GM started doing.
