Thought I would try a little hydrocarbon magic for my latest mod. The installation is pretty easy if you follow the directions. The blue tape holds it in place until the double sided tape adhesive cures for 24 hours. I did one of these for another forum member so I decided to get one for myself. It looks much better in person. I'll get better pics at the Dimmitt Show in Clearwater next Saturday.

I'm not a fan of carbon fiber, but that looks fantastic. I've always like the facia overlays, and that is easily the best looking one I've seen yet.

I like it...looks very nice!...BTW, I saw it on the other forum when you posted it:D

Hey everyone, jus wanted to pass on something. I noticed a bottle of isopropyl alcohol in the pic. Probably was used to prep the area for adhesion. Denatured alcohol, preceded by mineral spirits is a much better way to go. Isopropyl leaves a film and does not promote good adhesion. If you notice, many manufacturers of products that require adhesion tell you not to use isopropyl alcohol to clean the area. It will stick for a while though.

Thanks for the info:thumb

Isopropyl alcohol

Pacman,

Good point, Isopropyl Alcohol is usually 70% alcohol leaving 30% of it water, which is probably where the film comes from.

Keep 'em rollin' :W
