I'm looking for an OEM 1969 Big Block hood.

Thanks,

Fred

Might want to keep an eye on ebay. An OEM 68-72 big block/LT-1 hood was recently listed. Don't think it brought the reserve price which, (IMHO), was excessive. Seller might list it again.

I think this hood sold on this or another forum.

Thanks for the heads up though.

Still looking ........

There is a big block hood on ebay now. Its $850 plus shipping. Might be more than you want to pay, but its there.

I believe the $850. eBay hood is a reproduction. I'm hoping to get an original one for my car.

Thanks for the lead !

call me at 586-772-0000 or email me at Peter@tracyvette.com. Thanks!!! Pete

Re: WANTED: OEM '69 Big Block Hood

The $850 hood on eBay was a reproduction that most dealers retail for $600. Of course, it didn't sell.

An OEM hood just sold on eBay for $455. plus shipping and a few others have sold recently for $400-$600.

I didn't bid on this one because the seller refused to quote a shipping cost. I've experienced several sellers on eBay who increase their profit by not quoting shipping costs until after the auction ends, then zap you.

I'm hoping to find a hood within driving distance but will consider shipping if that doesn't work out.

I hear that. Recently purchased a chrome air cleaner lid -- lid only -- weighing less than a pound. $12. Seller charged me $20 to ship it. Needless to say, he won't be getting any more bids from me.
