Wanted 1976 Vette steering column shaft

I'm looking for the shaft that the steering wheel fits on and the star screw screws into. I'm not sure of the technical term. Mine thread is stripped.

the 76 is a one year column, but earlier columns can fit I have an earllier one in mine with a grant wheel

Thanks for the note. I'll give it a shot. I picked this car up a couple years ago. Well within my price range.

If you are just using it as a driver changing out the column may be your best bet, mine is from a 71 or 72. The 76 uses a vega steering wheel and it is a one year deal, If you want to keep it "correct" it may take some searching. Try E-bay also there are several Corvette only junkyards that sell on there.
 
I have a complete 76 tilt tele column with the steering wheel if you still need it. Thanks Chris
