I have been getting several warming up messages on my Driver Info center. At least four this past week. I did check the owners manual and it says it is normal and they gave reasons why the message comes up.
But is it unusual to see this message come up so often? Thanks for your help.

Hi Z06Refugee:

From seeing that you have a 2003 Torch Red Z06, I think you meant to put this question in the Z06 Technical and Performance. Perhaps this could be posted over there as this is the C6 section.

To answer your question I think it is unusual to see this message come up so many times. I have only seen it twice since I have owned my car. You may want to get it checked out. Good luck!

Specifically does the message say:

Active Handling Warming Up?

If so, the car is just calibrating what is straight.

I get them every so often in my 2002.:)

I've been getting them quite a bit lately as well..

From what I've been told...its because you turn the steering wheel in the first 50 ft of driving?

I even went so far as to ask c4C5 specialists and he's really a perfectionist for the technical aspect of our cars..He told me not to be concerned..

Hope this helps..

JB

Since you're talking about a 2003 Z06 and not the 2005 C6, I'm going to move this out of the C6 forum and into the Z06 forum...

If you are really concerned, take the car in for a Tech2 scan. However, it is normal and I personally would not be concerned (even if you get the message every day). However, it is your car.

Rob, now that was a good move!!!!!
Sort of like when you take someone's queen with your knight!
Checkmate! LOL

I had the message a lot one day. Seemed like everytime I drove the car that day the message appeared. It is displayed once in a while but I was told not to worry.

At the "50th Celebration" event in Nashville, Dave Hill was asked about this at one of the seminars. He said it usually means the car's computer is trying to determine what "straight ahead" is, and needs to travel in a straight line for a few yards before it can assist you (thus the warning)...
