just returned from a dealer who advised that the water pump was leaking on the distributor. stated that the distributor needed to be replaced. can the cap be replaced or does the whole unit need changing. the service engine light came on and there is a small puddle in the garage.

Opti's & water don;t mix. :ugh It'll leave you stranded if left unattended once wet.

I'd sure shop around and avoid the dealership. The parts and shop rate are gonna be rough for an opti-spark.

Opti Spark is a type of ignition stystem that looks at the timing optically instead of magnetically or physically. It is very accurate. It just hates water.
