just installed the 9 piece kit, hard to open & close door,door lines up with body, i called the distributor for help & they said it takes time to break in,is this true.

From what I understand, yes. I haven't done it myself, but I've read where others have and they've needed to adjust things to make it all fit right again or just wait until it compresses a bit.

Were you told to grease the new rubber in any way?

it took about 1.5 weeks but all is fine, doors are back to normal, it needed time to readjust.
 
the gaskets are not squeezed yet by the door or conformed to the door area. If they smalled in size you would not get a tight fit to keep air and water out. That is why there are tight to start with, but after a few hot days they should fit ok. Mine did!!
