Okay, I have read about dynoing an engine and I understand what it does. I don't have a clue what can be done with that info either.

I have read where some people have also had their engine blueprinted. What is that? Is that some sort of schematical printout showing all the parts of the engine? What can you do with it?

Just trying to understand more about the vette other than good looks or styling cues.

Thanks!

Jim

"Blueprinting" an engine is one of the first, and best things a hot rodder or racer can do to a production engine. Blueprinting an engine is nothing more a rebuild done to the most precise tolerances possible. That simple act improves reliability, which is particularly important when you plan to run an engine at the limit.

An engine like anything else has blueprints with specifications , measurments for part size and clearences. Blueprinting is bringing the parts as close as possible to the specifications. This site might help a little.
