What is right way to remove wheel center cap on 98

I have a 98 and noticed a nail in the tire. What is the right way to get off the center cap in order to expose the lug nuts in order to remove the wheel from the car? I dont want to bend it or damage it. thanks a lot !

use a rag to protect the finish, and pry off with a screwdriver where the cover is straight, not round.
