Does anybody know what this part is called ?? (The plastic part in the middle). The bottom of the part has two stems that have hoses connected. One of my stems has broken off. I can't find this part in any of the catelogues. If anyone know what the part is called and where I can get one, I would really appreiciate it..

If you are talking about the valve on the thermostat housing. It is a thermal ported vacuum switch. They can be purchased at an auto store. Usually identified by color of the plastic housing

He's talking about the AIR system. I think it's called the diverter valve (or anti-backfire valve). The problem is that they changed over the years and i think the 81 has an unique model diverter valve. On the docrebuild.com site they have valve's till 78 but not for 81's. The easiest thing to do is looking for it on a corvette graveyard.
Good luck,

Groeten Peter.

Yep, thats the diverter valve or gulp valve. Try ebay, contemporary corvettes for used parts.
