!@#$%^!@# What is up with my car?

I have heard of a few owners sending their units back to Old Lyme for rebuilding or reworking...

Basically, the more pressure that is put on the intake vac/boost line to the Microfueler-- the more the Microfueler is going to increase the duty cycle of the auxiliary injectors to a much faster rate. Testing it requires some electronic troubleshooting gear (scope). Time for Callaway to take a look at it! Especially if it is defective.

p.s. I hope Norris isn't billing for their learning curve on your car!

The microfueler reads engine RPMs in addition to manifold pressure. It's function can be tested with a couple of wires, a bulb and a resistor. David Fulcher explained how to do it a long time ago to me when I was having some trouble. I don't remember what type of resistor was required. I would think your standard fuel injector test gear, although more expensive than the aforementioned method, would do just fine. Why are they guessing at this? Are they not capable of determining if a fuel injector is actually being activated? I don't get it. :confused

I do know the company that originally made them which was based in MA is out of business.

BTW - Have they installed the AFPR and what is the pressure at idle with the vacuum line off? It should be about 48psi.

Josh, are they installing an FMU in place of the microfueler ? or is it in line with the fuel rail to boost pressure to all injectors ?

Have they made absolutely sure the vacuum line to the microfueler itself is in good condition, and not loosing vacuum ?

The test lamp that Callaway recommends in checking the microfueler/injectors is made by Kent Moore part # J344730-2K-MUSA

Gordon Killebrew has an RPM generator for the C4's... This will come in handy for bench testing the Microfueler.

8388- where you get that blinky light part # from? Curious if it's written in any Callaway docs that I may not have. ;shrug

Found that part # in my Callaway manual.

Josh if there was another B2K near you, a quick and simple test would be to swap microfuelers long enough to see if thats the real problem. Not to dis your shop, but by now your problem should have been figured out.
