What kind of antifreeze should I use in 86 vette

I just wonder if I can use Dex-cool silicate free antifreeze instead of ethylene glycol-based antifreeze in my 86 vette. Any body help me?

If it came with green coolant that is all I would put in. Just my $.02

;stupid I've seen a lot of complaints from even those who have had the stuff from the factory:r Green is good

Use the green stuff, if you don't get every bit of the silicate out of the system and use distilled water, you end up with a sludgy mess over time so I've heard. Unfortunately, I didn't get this advice until after I had already added the orange stuff to mine. I guess we'll see after a few thousand miles.

I'm thinking about trying that EVANS coolant. I read about someone using it, wasn't sure if it was this forum or the "OTHER FORUM". At 25 bucks a bottle for EVANS...I'm not sure what to do at the moment.
