Should I replace the injectors, or send them out to be cleaned and tested. I will have a couple weeks down time, so sending them out should be no problem.

Any thoughts?

Is there anything wrong with the ones you have? Have you checked the resistance of them? They should read between 15 and 19 ohms.

www.cruzinperformance.com does a good job of cleaning and matching injectors from what I'm told. Another place to check is SLP www.slponline.com they were selling take-outs from LS1's for $100 a set ... I've heard these work well with our cars. Of course I just checked and can't seem to find them anymore. :confused

:w

I am not aware of anything bieng wrong with them. They are the orginals, and I just thought since the motor will be apart, that now is a good time to take care of them. There is a Napa store here local that did my brothers, and he hasn't had any problems with them yet.

Rich also used Cruzin Performance and he had good things to say about them. They're in Michigan, not too far away from you so turnaround time shouldn't be too long. There is also TPIS.

I think it's a good idea since you've got it apart.

Is there such a thing as injectors being to the point of uncleanable? The injectors on mine are the originals and the car runs very rich so something will be done about them this winter. I'm going with the Cruzin Performance route. I really liked the detail of their steps on the website.

I will check that place out. I think it needs to be done. Should I replace my fuel pressure regulator, with an aftermarket or a stock one? Or should I just get a stock one?

A lot of guys are going with the adjustable ones.

I went adjustable, then adjusted it to factory specs, per my tuner. Not sure if I'd go adjustable again, but various tuners use differing techniques, all claiming that higher/lower pressure, with attendantly sized injectors is best.

I followed Jim's Performance advice, as apparantly certain other fellows in M(a)D do. :w

I guess at this point it is not cruicial, I will keep it in mind. It is about a 100 bucks for the adjustable one my bro has on his car. Not sure what a stock one will cost.
