What type of black paint to restore cross flag emblem?

Spend the $ buy a new one.If you must I would use semi gloss black

Hobby shop - tiny bottle of Testor's gloss black enamel, small brush.

John,thats a good idea but the testors paint doesnt have any UV protectant in it,it turns to a chalky flat black after about a month.

I used some semi gloss spray paint sprayed into a lid and a number 3 brush.....
