Whats better? Getrag 3.73 or tuner built 3.90's for a Z06 M12 tranny?

Figure the cost is about the same (for arguments sake)

Gee JB, are you going drag racing or what? lol! 3.90's would be insane for the strip, but 3.73's may be more easier to live with in between races. Good luck in whatever you decide on doing. I sure would like to hear about the end result and how quick you go.
P.S. Can you give me some info on that Shaner S2 throttlebody? I'm looking for one as we speak.

Hi Todd,

I had the 3.73's installed and its a great mod with the Z06. Total civility and yet the performance is nicely upgraded..

The cars always ready to pounce.

beleive it or not. The tuner constructed 3.90's in Z06's are very streetable. 4.10's are a bit much for the Z06 in street trim..IMHO...but very cool with drag radials.

The 4.10's are an excellent option for M6 coupes and convertibles.

After having this mod in my car with the 3.73's I highly recommend this as a great mod and would confidently state that 3.90's for Z's and 4.10's for M6 coupes and convertibles..

Sounds radical yet it really is a cool way to hop up a street car..

Lots of fun and highly recommended.

BTw..the Cadillac CTS V series which has the Z06 motor and transmission M12 also runs a 3.73 standard.

I'd say this 1100 dollar installed mod is one of the best bangs for the buck..

The tuners such as East Coast Superchargers sell units installed for about that amount of money and its a cool big bolt on.

and you get to keep your motors warranty as well.
