What do you think is a fair price to pay for this GM HardTop to fit C3 Vert?

Latches work OK but all chrome is bad & much is flaking off.

Requires complete weatherstrip (about $350/kit).

Requires minor bodywork at 2" x 5" section at center below glass.

Needs one interior side headliner panel.

All chrome/stainless perimeter trim & glass trim is AOK.

Chrome tail-tips are AOK.

Rear glass is AOK.

This HardTop is local ... no need to ship (I've actually got it in my shop).

Of course, it'll need paint to match my car.

Seller wants $250 ... So ... should I pay $250 ? ... or LESS ?

I'm not an expert, but that is probably a good deal. Those hardtops are quite rare, and almost never in great condidition.

I considered selling mine last year, and what I found is that one in "average" condition should bring around $600. Above average would bring about $750-$1000. Mine is quite nice, but I couldn't get anyone to throw money at me for $750. One that needs work as you describe will take a lot to get it in comparable condition. Adding it up, you'd almost have to get the top for free to make it worth it. Of course, with no shipping costs and the fact you'd probably have to paint whichever hardtop you got, that offsets some of the cost.
