I just had new tires put on and was wondering if I need to have the the lugs re-torqued after a certain amount of miles?

Anytime you install aluminum wheels, or after a wheel has been off and then re-installed, you should recheck the torque level between 50 and 100 miles of operation, and retighten if necessary to the recommended torque using the proper sequence. It's even recommended that torque checks be made as part of a vehicle's scheduled maintenance program, or at approximately 10,000 mile intervals. ;)

I agree.
I just had tires installed today and on the bill it states to re-torque after 25 miles and then periodically.
BTW I had them install my own tires at NTB for $95 which includes new chrome stems and lifetime balancing and they also have a lift for vettes and they did open the doors, hood and hatch. ;worship

Thanks very much for all the help. I just got back from having the wheels re-torqued and I feel relieved (since I'm such a dummy with my Vette)
