I have a 75 Vette and was looking into getting some new C5 rims and rubber for it. The fronts are 245/45/R17 and the rears are 275/40/R18. Does anybody know if they will fit on my car? There are also a 1 inch wheel spacers on the car. Any input would be great, thanks.

The tire sizes you mentioned won't be a problem. I have seen chromed C5 wheels mounted under 74 vert and they sure looked good. Your main concern will be to find the correct spacers. I don't have any idea what kind of backspacing the C5 wheels use, but I'm almost sure that 1" spacers in rear won't quite cut it, I think you're looking at least 2" spacers and you'll need longer bolts to mount them.

I've got 20" wheels all around, fronts are 8" wide and rear are 10". Front are with stock BS which is 4" and rears are with 5.5" BS. I've got 2" offset trailing arms to allowe me this wild BS at the back.

The tires I've got are 255/35/20 in front and 285/30/20 all will fit under stock body lines.

Here's few pics of what I've got:

Hello, I would get in touch with Vette Brakes and Products.
www.vb&p.com
They are helping me fit 17x9.5 ZR1 wheels to my car. Their adaptors are high quality, but pretty expensive. I would not feel safe getting adaptors from anyone else though.

Wow...the link to the pics isn't working. Checked your web page, didn't see the pics there either... I'd like to see what the 20"ers look like...

That's weird, I got them working first and on second time all red x's, then I just right clicked and chose show picture on each one and it worked! Try that, the pics are there, I just checked.

GroovyJay,

Check the URL link for the pics. You have a // before the xxxxx.jpg. That may be the problem.

For the rest of us, to see the pics, you need to right click on the little, red X box, select properties. Then highlight the entire Address (URL) text, do a CRTL-C to copy it, then "OK" to close the window. Go back up to your Address bar in your browser, click in there, and do a CRTL-V to paste in the link you just copied. it should bring the picture up.

You can then hit BACK on browser to take you back to the main thread, as well as that pic should now show up in the placeholder. Repeat as necessary.

got them this time ,boy they sure are close aren't they?is this a project your working on? how about some more pics of the car!!:cool

Yes this is the car I've been working on lately. I've been very busy boy documenting it, I've 1000+ pics of it and some 3 hrs of video. I try to post here more pics when I got more time.
