When good leads go bad.....C3 Vette Replica
Hey All
During my fabulous welcome to CAC, the general discussions evolved to include my mention duh opening ones mouth before brain engaged.... again) of C3 Vette & Transam replicas made here in Christchurch NZ, by a gentleman called Tom Morland.
A few of you seemed interested, so as promised I contacted the NZ Hot Rod Editor (retired) who put me in contact with the current editor, who knew the article I was refering to about Mr. Morland, being Feb 1984, as yes they still had a copy!, which now rests in front of me :Twist........ So much for the good news.
Upon opening the magazine, I found the Transam Replica Story , but no Vette Story. Dam that memory thing again.... cant remeber what it's called?
So to keep your appetites wet, heres the Transam Story. First photo is the car they canabilised, being a Holden(GM) HQ. Believe it not, they have a racing series here for old girls (Yeah, and you have C3 replicas too!).
The second and third upload is the article. Sorry for the quality, but the 83kb limit was difficult to achieve when each page started at 10Mb.
I will continue to search out that C3 Vette Replica Story though, so tune in next week, same vette time, same vette channel!
