Before getting involved with Callaway Cars, I made a trip to the Old Lyme factory to ask this very question. My white 94 was a pursuit of a dream that took 11 years to fully complete.
According to Callaway when you have the Aerobody or the Motor your VIN / name are registered in the Callaway registry. I think it is a matter of personal opinion and I can see both sides. The thread describing the motor serial number changes could be viewed by some as a reason to buy a car with all the mods except the engine. This gives you the factory heart ready for a fresh Callaway breath....
I have both and of course hands down fullly loaded is the way to go but Callaway registers them with Aerobody or motor into the registry...
Anyway you look at it if you are supporting Callaway from word of mouth all the way to ownership of multiples your part of the team and Callaway appreciates everyones .02 or $200k+. If it is from Callaway it is a Callaway.
Personally...a TT Speedster is the TRUE Callaway to me (next to the sledgehammer of course) and unfortunately that I do not have............yet (looking for a loan of $300k plus for Barrett Jackson this week, anyone have some spare change
)
Best Regards to all

In my opinion, a body kit without engine work is just another form of ricer disease.
