Where to find the RPO codes on my '84

I have looked in the center console and both rear compartments but not sticker. Is there somewhere else to look that is readily accessable?

Not really. The only other place I've heard about is on top of the fuel tank.

I also heard that somethimes, the RPO / build sheet is on the engine compartment firewall.

I'll check the firewall. Seems kind of odd that GM would put codes on the top of the gas tank. Wouldn't you need to drop the tank to get to the codes? hmmmmmm

I guess I am lucky, my codes are still taped to the inside of compartment door behind the drivers seat . . .

They put 'em anywhere they want. You might also find one (a build sheet) up in one of the front frame rails.

On the 1964 Coupe I once owned, I did check on the top of the gas tank, and the sheet was loosely glued to the top of the tank. I suppose it is there for a more permanent record that would usually stay with the car, since it wouldn't get wet or rubbed off there, and would be available "if all else fails".

On our 81 it was on the top of the gas tank but worn so bad that it was unreadable.......
