So i need a bit of a guesstimate on how much it would cost to mave some paint mixed, matched, then having my t-tops repainted. Left my vette outside overnight, and a jealous individual, and yes i have someone in mind, poured something on my roof that bleached my paint, soo.... any ideas?

Hey Offbeat Octane, I hate to see/hear this type of thread, and I feel for you, as some people have no respect for property, no matter what has gone down.

Not sure about the price, as on otherside of the world.

But I sure could suggest a few ideas to you, on how to deal with that other party! :bash :booty . Other than that theres the $0.25 option, oh, but you need a sniper rifle for that! :r.

Chin up :beer

Sorry buddy, I have no prices for you.....I'm just so peed off hearing about this kind of thing.I once had my GTA keyed when it had approx. 2000 miles on her..I was fuming :mad ......I hope it didn't hurt too much.
I'd like to catch someone in the act....or maybe not...;)

When life deals you lemons, make lemonade. Pay the a$$bag a visit and tell him thanks, you have been wanting to get glass tops and he gave you the perfect excuse. Then set him on fire. ;)

Lol, no i'm really not the revenge type... It's not a huge deal, stuff happens and at least it was just on my tops

I made an appointment at a paint place in town that has worked on my other car, going in today to see how much this is going to hurt my wallet...

Thanks folks...

Sorry to hear about your problem, that's awful!

Only thing I can offer is that I just bought a quart of PPG paint that was color matched to do my bumper, $68.

Get many estimates..see what kind of work they do...........I had my greenwood in the shop about 2 months ago and they wanted to charge me $200.00 per T-Top. Mine have metal flake in them and he indicated he had no idea how many coats of flake were on them...this is a VERY reputable place..and i trust them..they painted my 1976 milennium yellow vette at a great price........needless to say, i balked at that price......I;m trying to find LOF Galaxy glass t-tops instead.....

yeah thats pretty much what i got also, they have no clue how closely they can match the paint and it's probably gonna be expensive.... Uggggh. Well i think i am gonna try to use some medium cut stuff on the paint and see if i can get it out that way. If not... Maybe i should look into racing stripes, lol.

Or ... not kidding ... have them covered in black vinyl ... or shot w/ black textured urethane putruck bed liner such as Rhinoliner, LineX etc.

Huh, never thought of that, but some good news. Bought a bottle of meguires Scratch X, and spent about 2 1/2 hours working on one of the t-tops, and the discoloration is almost gone. Thank goodness!! I think i might have to write a letter to meguires.
