Will the C6 have year-2-year evolution like older models???

I think this was probably the down fall of the c5. It will be very easy to keep the C6 modern andd not outdated if it gets a mild facelift every couple of years.
In the end I see the C6 being contiually refined until it becomes perfect.
That's why it looks so much like the C5 right now, IMO. It's because they would like to be able to refine the overall shape of the C5 but the c5 was just too outdated, so they wanted to make the C6 a proper starting point for future alterations.

I also see the first year C6 as an overall tribute to all previous generatiopns of corvettes past. If you remember correctly, this was meant to be the 50th anniversery edition so it makes perfect sense.

Nope. I just don't want to see embargoed pictures, or specifications posted....that's all.

With that said, I'm not sure I would say "the downfall of the C5". I don't really think the C5 went through a downfall. GM sells every one they make and it's received several quality awards and acclaim during its 8-year lifespan. The car has gotten consistently better and better in terms of quality and performance during its life.

I think the C6 came about when Cadillac signed on with the xLR.

I think they funded a great portion of the r & D.

I beleive the C5 to be a stunning winner over the years its been in production.

The C6 is just that much better.

An evolution that refines the Corvette brand.

I've never felt the C5 looked dated. There is no reason that GM couldn't update the C5 as well to make it more modern. It was just time for a change.

It has only been speculated that the C6 was meant for '03 as the 50TH car. I can't say I've seen any GM roadmaps that would put the C6 as an '03 MY car.

On a separate note, I see so many that are disappointed with GM's Anniversary models as they expect performance options to set the car apart. GM has only ever done badging updates for the Vette. Why expect different now and then be disappointed?

C3 and C4 got much needed updates because those generations ran 13 and 14 years. Long gone are the days when Chevy makes mild styling changes to differentiate the years. It costs too much money to retool molds for the composite material to change this every year. They have to do something to keep the costs down and keep the prices down for the customers. I would not expect to see body panel changes after two years.
