I Have A 79 And Need Fresh Shoes On The Ground. Found 275 50 R 15 B.f Goodrich G-force For 150.00 Ea. Mt-bal. I Have Had Great Luck With Bfg T/a's. Have Them On All My Other Rigs.
Will They Fit The 79 Without Clearance Problems? Tire Noise? Driveability? I Have 8 3/4" Wheels And Had 245 60 R 15,s With No Problems, But Want A Better Looking Tire, And Less Road Noise Plus One Of The Old Tires Seperated, Fortunately Setting In The Shop.
Any Info?
Thank You
Dave

On my 72' the emergency brake bracket on the side of the trailing arm must be moved to to the top of the trailing arm to accomodate 275 tires. I don't know if the 79' has the bracket in the same location or not. If it does, you will more and likely have to move it.

You can hear road noise? I can't even hear myself think over the rumble of the flowmasters.
