Hi folks.

Replaced the outer window seal on my cab and under this operation to get room to put in new rivets i disconnected the window from the hoist. So far so good but now the window is not leveled properly and i can moove it a bit if i grab the top of the window and pull in a forward/back motion. Replaced the rattlers and the window is solid in a in/out action. Anyone who can tell me what i did wrong?;help

Thanks from Norway

Forgot to say that the window touch the metal frame on the aft part of the cab slightly when closing the door with cab up and window all up.

Thanks again.

Window Fix

From what you say it sounds like the problem you have is a broken stop bracket. Here is the sheet from the FMS showing the location of the stop bracket

In figure 9 notice item 6 Guide/Stop This is a plastic piece that brakes from time.

This picture shows the bolt that holds the Guide/Stop to the window

This is another veiw of the location on the window.

You will have to remove the door panel in the next picture. If you are very careful you can remove the door handle rod clip behind the door handle. In the bottom of the picture you can see another rod that has to be removed. Now if you have the silver panel free from the door with great care and pationts you can slide the panes throught the opening and get enough clearance to work on the winddow.

Good Luck and take your time.
