Windshield Frame

I have a '70 vette to which I am restoring and its windshield frame is rusted out. Does anybody know where I could find one. or does anyone know of any corvette salvage yards that might be of any help? I realize that it's three peices, i need the top and both sides. thanks for your help

You are in for a big job. This is really overlooked by a lot of body shop and "restoration" specialists. I have heard of shops that simply pump expanding foam up into the cowl area to temporiarily relieve the leaks, and extra silicone or windshield adhesive on the frame to hide the rust.

I made a post a week or so ago where I took pictures of a badly rotted frame. I think that really got the point across. Our vendors here will point you in the right direction.

Chris is right, this can be an ugly experience. If the windshield frame is badly rusted, there is a good chance that both entire A-pillars may be rotten all the way to the bottom of the door. Click here to see the previous post Chris made about the subject and view the disgusting pics.
