Hi! I am going to replace my windshield washer bottle/filter and pump, and after looking around the area where the bottle is located I don't see any clear indication of how it is bolted in. Has anyone done this job, and can tell me how to take the bottle out and put the new one in?

Thanks,

Remove the passenger side gill panel just like you would remove the left side to replace the battery. The bottle is attached at the bottom with screws and the power lead and the hose are also at the bottom.

Ahhh! Many thanks, from both me and my windshield!

Note that if you need to move the pump to the new bottle, it's held in by the screen, which is bolted on INSIDE the bottle. You can use a deepwell socket (1/2"? I forget unfortunately) and a long extension to remove and replace it.

My washer hasn't worked since I bought my '86 about two years ago. I hadn't dove into that yet but it was about next on my list. So what's involved in removing the gill panel? Is it as simple as the few bolts down the fron in the wheel well and the one on the top rear corner?

Thanks

Thanks, again. It sounds similar to the set-up on my old '81. I have all the parts, and will try and do it this weekend and report back to people.
