1976 L-48, just finished installing after market stereo in the dash, after installation the wipers when activated will not turn off, but continue to "bump". Also the passenger side window will not come down...... when I hit the button, it shows a big discharge on the alt guage. Could the two be related? or do I have 2 separate problems? Tks in advance , Donald

Opps......... I pinch the wiring between the passenger door and the fender with my fingers while the button was depressed and the window started to work. How do I access the window motor to check the connection? The wires (both green and black) seem to be ok across the dash. Tks Donald

Hi Donald,
To get to the window motor you need to remove the door panel and the access panel at the bottom. As for the wipers, make sure you have the plug on correctly. Check the ground connection on the gauge cluster and that the upper panel is making good ground to the cluster bezel.

Mike

I got both of my electrical problems solved...... tks again Mike, the wiper motor problem was a ground problem, the center control bezel was broke and this problem was solved by hooking a jump wire back to the console, the window problem was the black wire connector was broken on the motor, I made a connector and I am ready to go again. Donald
