Has anyone encountered a problem with the Wiper System/Switch where after installing a new switch, the wipers would not turn off and the delay function was not working properly. We've run into a problem with 2 new switches that do not match the switch schematics in the Vette wiring diagrams from 86-90. And when installed on an 88 Vette, did not work correctly.
In the Low position from pins B to F, the switch should measure 24k ohms, the 2 switches we have measure open circuit. In the Off position it should measure over 1meg ohm, instead we get 24K ohms. Suffice to say that I've had a LOT of experience in vehicle electrical/electronics/wiring and rechecked the results. It's almost as though the Low and Off positions are reversed but there's no way to change the switch internals.
If anyone has encountered similar, please let me know what you found and if you fixed it.
Thanks
