Wire ID assistance needed

Here's my question this time;
In the engine compartment, top of the driver's side wheelwheel is a large "T" wire loom connector, coming out of it is a 12 gauge red wire and a 16 gauge dark brown wire....where do these go? They have been cut on my car. I know they are not the under hood light as that still has the two prong connector on it. And they are not the ones going to the alternator, as those are still there; unless there are multiple wires at the alternator connection??

Hi, I looked under the hood of my '81 and saw the wires that you were talking about and they appear to be going to the front headlights and side lights.I looked in the assembly manual page 496 and it shows the wires going to the forward lamps left and right . Is it possible that your headlamp wiring could be routed in another area. Sorry i could not be more help.
