I am in the process of cleaning up the wiring harness for the 77. It is in good shape just very dirty, especially in the fuse box area.

Question, is there a wiring diagram for the harness, looks like "Bubba" did some work to it so there are some "spares" and loose wires in some areas.
Also is there anyway I can get replacement bulb sockets and other connectors for the harness? All my Bulb sockets are badly corroded and unusable.

Thanks.

I strongly suggest buying a new harness. There are two main manufacturers of these that I know of.One is called Lectric Limited. I cant think of the other one.I had to rewire and replace the interior in a 74 this spring due to bubba and his wiring job.I have pics if ya want to see. They will make you change your mind.

paintdaddy - How long did it take you to replace the harness?

I've got some serious bubba issue for the interior and the engine bay. I'm not real sure which harness I should tackle first.

Did you replace the engine harness also?

Does anyone have recommendations for engine harness replacement?

i have also seen painless wiring, wiring harness i dont know if they are specific to vettes ,but they do have other muscle cars (camaro, chevelle) i havent been to their website yet but i would think they have corvette harnesses

Most Painless harnesses are "generic", and are different from the original harness and fuse block, even though they are shown for specific applications - they are NOT the same as the original harness. Great for project cars (I've used many of them for Cobras and my Grand Sport with no problems), but you don't want one to replace your OEM Corvette wiring - there are too many complex year-to-year differences to take a chance. Buying the correct, identical-to-original harness from an outfit like Lectric Limited is a MUCH better choice, with no installation headaches or "Bubba" work required. I've used Lectric Limited direct replacement harnesses in several cars, and they install and work properly, just like the originals. When you buy harnesses (especially the instrument panel harness), you get what you pay for.

i bow to your better knowledge, on average do you know how much they run??
thanks

It was a long project but well worth it.Its hard to say exactly how long because since it caught fire I had to replace the entire interior. All together It took me about 3 months.
On that car I didnt replace the harness but I have replaced a few on other corvettes. It doesnt matter which one you replace first. The engine harness is easier than the dash harness.I agree with johnz, the painless harness is generic, youll have a hard time making it connect to everything on a vette.
