On my diagnostic port under my ashtray. Has a problem in that the E port which is suppose to be a ground has allmost 12 volts running thru it. If anybody has an idea where that should ground or where the current is coming from. It would help me out a ton.

I am doing computer diagnostics today. If I see it, I'll let you know. Pull the driver's side console cover, the one with carpet. See where it goes. E should def. be "chasis ground". When you read this 12 volts, where are you measuring from? Batt ground? Where?

Coolant sensor/ Don't believe everything you read.

Okay. Doing diagnostics today. The book says if the coolant sensor reads over 1,000 ohms, replace it. It read 2,260 ohms. Bought a new GM one today. $42.00.
Guess what. 2,260 ohms. WTF?
Anyone else notice this?:confused

I have been putting red lead of volt meter on the E terminal and using the cig. lighter as ground
