I just bought this car about 3 weeks ago and it had no interior lights or cluster lights, just got around to checking it out today removed the console cluster and someone has done some very constructive(destructive)wiring!..I have a blue plug with 3 wires gr bl red, looks like it comes from behind the tach speedo just laying there & I don't see the other half, the console harness has 10 wires, orange has constant power pink has key-on power the rest have no power, also the plug for the top light on the cluster has no power black wire& grey with black stripe wire, should all the grey wires have constant power?.. all my guages work just no lights or key accessory.

I know what the orange ones for, cig. lighter and courtesy lights for the doors, I wouldn't think the cluster lights should have constant power light switch would have to be on.

thanks joe, i'm going to order the shop or assembly manual but thought i'd try to get the dash lights working while i have it apart, there's got to be a harness in here somewhere that is unpluged...the previous owner took it in to get some electrical work done & it sat there for 3mo., when he went to get it the speedo & dash lights were'nt working. the fuses are ok & the bulbs are good its just trying to figure where all the dead end wires go..looks like i got a winter project!

You might have have better luck getting a wiring diagram from Lectric Limited. Sometimes those shop manuals don't give a lot of detail. I bought a complete harness from them and the diagram makes things a whole lot easier when tracing down wires.

good luck

thanks dnewton, I'll give lectric a try, I jumped a key-on power wire over to a gray wire behind the console gage cluster and now have all the guage lights including the interior light...just a temperary fix till i get a book but it worked.
