would a 76 spring fit on a 77

I just got my leaf spring in today that I ordered from ebay. It is from a 76 (7 leaf spring). Didnt think about this but mine is a 77.

Will the spring still fit. Im pretty sure they are all the same but just want to make sure. The spring is the same width. 2 1/4

Never did this operation to my car yet. Noticed that there is a little button sticking out at the top of the spring.

Anyways, I now realize that the button on top is actually a bolt. Which my old one also has DUH! :crazy

When you install the new spring, don't torque the four bolts on the center spring retainer plate until the car is on wheels at normal ride height with its full weight on the spring, or you can break the ears off the rear cover. Just snug them up (10-15 ft-lbs.) at first, then torque fully with the car on wheels.
