Would a 96 GS paint job look good on a C5?

I was thinking about saving up for a grand sport paint job on my C5. Anyone got osme pics of other C5s that might have it or do ya think it would look good? And does anyone know how much a paint job like that would cost? (also anyone know any good paint shops in the tri state area NY-CT-NJ)

I saw that car at Eckler's, a Z06 cut to convertible, then GS paint job. It was really done well, and looked as good in person as in Corvette Fever!

Yes, the owner's name is "Hutch" Hutchinson, and he's the administrator of the Grand Sport Registry...nice guy! He and his wife are really into Grand Sports, as you can tell!

I'd say it would be expensive if your cars not some type of blue already and just had to paint the stripe.

If you do this ...I strongly recommend painting from the very front of the car all the way to the bottom of the rear bumper.

I think thats a class act. Not cheap I'm sure...

But as in this months magazine..and on a friends 2000 nassua blue frc.....it was always a thing of beauty.

and I don't normally like stripes at all.

Always thought that GS stripe was a classic Corvette look.

To me it looks like Alan's car is screaming for a white stripe down the middle. I think it would look great considering the car is already blue.

I have a navy blue. What I was considering was getting a decal instead. If I changed my mind, I could strip it off. The car is always garaged and when not being driven, covered therefore the would be very little bleaching of the paint around where the stripe. I don't know, good idea ?

looks nice,i would change the rims,but that paint scheme looks better on the c5 than c4.just my opinion.
