I bought a new Harley Softail after being used to jumping in my ZO6 whenever I want.... one of the fastest cars in the world. Harley's aren't exactly known for being speed demons but it's a thought.

Just wondered from Harley and ZO6 owners if these two machines are too far apart?

Remember your Bug Splat thread? I hardly think motorcycles need to be driven as fast as a Z06 in light of your splat theories.

On a related note...Kenny and I just returned from an Easter Sunday drive where we ended up at a stranger's house (imagine that!) and bought the stranger's 1997 Virago 1100.

Well Heidi, I guess the splat phenomena is something to consider seriously. A 60mph bug would be much easier to take on a bike than a 140mph bug.

Congrats on Kenny's (or yours?) new bike!!! Sounds very cool!! He must be behaving for you....

Since I just bought the Missus a new house, maybe I better plan on more furniture, plants, wallpaper, etc. for a while :eyerole

However, with a little good behavior time, maybe I'll have my way...eventually.

Hmmm....I was leaning more towards a similarity of bug splats on cars at various speeds and motorcycle splats on cars at various speeds. :eek

Ugh. Didn't think about being a motorcycle splat on a car....at any speed. Cancel that thought of a new Harley!!
