:Steer Has anyone put Xenon or HID Headlights into their C4, I have a 95 Corvette and am thinking about the headlight upgrade. What are any pros or cons with this conversion?

Are they glass lenses or plastic? Mid America has them and they also sell the plastic lense lights "replace your heavy glass lamps & prolong headlamp motor life"

:beer Thanks JonM and Caninelvr.

OK, part one of my real question has been answered, now the rest. Do these replacement headlights make a REAL difference in night time lighting, do these use a separate ballast as I have seen in some web sites, do you have to have a separate ballast, or only if you want to reach the 5,000 something K (Kelvin) (Color Temperature), are there modifications that have to be made to the vehicle or wiring harness, or lamp buckets?

The price ranges from EBay starting at $16.00 to several hundred depending on the website and whether there is a ballast.
I really feel lost as to the choices without communication from those who know from experience.

I appreciate the feedback.:w

The headlights I mentioned above are a simple replacement lens and the halogen bulb. No extra wiring or balists is needed. Its as simple as changing a headlight. As far as a difference...I think they make a big difference. However, I will post a pic below and let you make the call. It also depends what size bulb you use. Here is a link to buy the lens LINK

Whatever you do, don't buy those cheap A$$ units on ebay...my opinion is they are junk.

Now you own me a BIG favor...Beat those friggin Red Sox for us.

Yeah!! Beat those Red Sox!!!

:s Thanks everyone for the information. I LOVE THE CARDINALS!!! I was at the 1982 World series when we last won. I really believed the Red Birds could pull this one off and beat the SOX, but bottom of the 8th Game 4 and If our bats don't get HOT before the next six outs, then well what can you do. I still say the Cardinals are the better of the two teams.

LETS GO CARDINALS!!:w

The hella's are good you can also get Ciebe lamps with replaceable bulbs.

They make a HUGE difference.
If you want real light and drive at night enough look for Daniel Sterns Lighting. He sells overwatt bulbs and a relay kit. Don't put overwatt bulbs in without a relay kit. Mine draw over 18amps on low beam. They won't blind on-comming drivers since they shine the light on the road where it helps you see. Another plus, since they don't shine up there isn't as much glare off rain as stock headlights.
Anyway, the lamps wiring and relay kit was about $200 and an afternoon to install it. I think they make more light than the xenon lights.
