Okay, I'm trying to work the bugs out of an idea I have.
From talking to people and reading articles, it does seem that the Edelbrock Air-Gap intakes have some problems in cold weather, due to a lack of an exhaust crossover/heat riser to heat the plenum.
Being that I live in Maine, cold weather is not exactly a rare thing...
So, here's my idea: get a heater of some sort (I have several options in mind), and attach it to the underside of the plenum. Attach a thermostatic switch, as well, and it could automatically regulate the temperature of the plenum.
The question then becomes: what is the minimum temperature that the plenum can be, without having problems? I don't want to heat it more than necessary - just enough to prevent cold-start problems.
