You all have to see this pic....

Rentals and thefts

How many were rentals? Thefts? We've all seen the jerks with the ricers and Neons driving stupid. Put those people behind the wheel of a real machine and that is the photo evidence we are seeing.

While I like checking out the photos on that site, including Ferraris and Lambos, I can't stand the annoying pop-ups. It ruins any interest at looking very much. :(

It looks like they're mating. What do you suppose the offspring will look like?

Easy there big guy, no need for bashing like that. I trust there are just as many "jerks" (as you call it) driving any other type of vehicle on our roads, yes, even the classics.

Where do you think all the spare engines, and more, for Vipers and other 'exotics' come from? Ask folks in the dismantling or insuance biz and you'll hear about the guy who could finally purchase his dream hot rod, only to find the car had capabilities way beyond the driving skills most of us have, unless we take the time to attend a school and/or get high performance driving experience another way. The life expectancy of a new high performance car is poor.

I recall hearing that the '84 Z-51 had track capabilities roughly equivalent to the formula cars of a few years earlier, except for power, of course.

BTW, I don't believe this is exclusively a 'guy thing', like asking for directions. :w

DIRECTIONS???????? who needs directions? ;LOL;LOL;LOL;LOL

Bin there - Done that

I have a 95 LT1 ( dark green ). just got it out of the body shop from just such an incident. It wasn't pretty, a Honda on my hood. A low nose vette can easily get under a big as? Honda Accord. Only $8,000 of damage. Ouch!! Watch those slick streets and worn tires.

Was driving down to see the folks and a guy pull out of a side street in a '98 coupe. A short distance down the road there are a couple corners that I like to zoom thru in our Vette. I did my best to hustle my '95 Dodge Dually down the road and out of the play zone, only to watch, in the mirror, the '98 lose control on cold tires and buy a telephone pole.

I wonder whether that '98 had turned off his traction control. Did the '98 have a stability control system? My old '97 did not, but my 2002 does.

It’s good to see those images, as bad as they are; reminds you of what can happen when we’re out there with our cars -- made me think.

Yeah, it really does put into perspective that we are not the only people out on the road...
